Mr. Rodgers has been engaged in practice in insurance defense since 1978. He graduated from what was then Central State University (now University of Central Missouri) in 1974 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, and from law School at the University of Missouri in 1978 with a J.D. degree. He is a member of all state courts in Missouri, U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is an accomplished pilot, holding a private pilot license with an instrument rating, and has accumulated over 4,000 hours of flight time. He is the owner of his own private airplane, which he has utilized in his practice to efficiently and economically travel to court appearances, depositions, accident scene and equipment inspections, mediations, document productions, meetings with clients and experts may other events.
His practice consists of defense of insureds and insurers in civil litigation, in a wide variety of cases, including wrongful death, automobile accidents with an emphasis on trucking cases, construction cases and commercial litigation, however, he also issues coverage opinions, and defends insurers in coverage matters, including declaratory judgment actions and bad faith cases. He represents a number of national title insurance companies in the protection of the rights and property interests of their insureds. He has handled cases in many of the counties in Missouri and the surrounding states.
Mr. Rodgers is happily married with 5 children, and is the owner of several Arabian and Half-Arabian show horses, which he and his daughters have shown in local, regional and national competition.
