Ms. Lockhart has dedicated her legal career to defending workers’ compensation claims on behalf of Employers and Insurers. Prior to joining Evans & Dixon, LLC in 2001, she worked for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office defending claims for the state and the Second Injury Fund. She has extensive experience in Workers’ Compensation Law having defended all complexity levels and a wide range of claims through her career.
Ms. Lockhart has tried numerous cases through the years in addition to handling appeals through the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and Missouri Court of Appeals. She regularly appears before the Division of Workers’ Compensation. Ms. Lockhart also provides education, training and resources to her clients and acts as a resource to maintain or improve their business practices.
Ms. Lockhart has lived in Springfield since childhood. All of her education through graduation from Missouri State University has been in Springfield.
Ms. Lockhart has served on the firm's Executive Board. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, Southern Missouri Women Lawyer's Association. She has spoken at various seminars both by Evans & Dixon and other sponsors.
Ms. Lockhart also serves as President of the non-profit organization, Kids' Chance of Missouri. Ms. Lockhart assists in various aspects of this organization, including planning fundraising events to fund scholarships for the children of workers who have been severely or fatally injured in a compensable work accident. Ms. Lockhart is passionate about this organization's purpose to ensure these children have access to additional funds to assist with their educational goals.
Interests:
Ms. Lockhart has strong family values and enjoys spending time with family, including the four-legged variety as she is an avid dog-lover and dotes on her dogs. She feels blessed not only to have much of her family in the Ozarks area, but also to have a very close group of friends. She enjoys streaming various programs and movies, the Kansas City Chiefs, live music, reading, walking, and almost any form of socializing. She also serves as Vice President of the Alpha Delta Pi House Corporation Board for the chapter at Missouri State University.
