Ms. Banahan joined Evans & Dixon in 2016, after graduating from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she received the CALI Excellence Award in Legal Research & Writing. Ms. Banahan is an associate in our Civil Litigation Department and concentrates the majority of her practice on insurance defense. Specifically, the bulk of Ms. Banahan's experience is concentrated in personal injury litigation stemming from vehicular accidents, medical malpractice and premise liability claims. Her clients include businesses, individuals, and government entities. In addition to practicing civil litigation, Ms. Banahan handles a number of criminal matters including traffic violations, speeding tickets, and DWI’s.
Since joining the firm, Ms. Banahan has had the opportunity to second chair a number of civil jury trials, under the direction of supervising partner James E. Godfrey, Jr. Most recently, Mr. Godfrey and Ms. Banahan represented a motorist who was sued for creating an alleged hazard in the roadway when a box fell from the back of his truck and landed on the highway. Despite a $100,000 demand, the jury returned a verdict assessing 90% of fault to the injured Plaintiff, and ordered our client, the Defendant, to pay a mere $100.
Ms. Banahan is an active member of the Missouri Bar, the Illinois Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Ms. Banahan is also a member of the Medical Professional Liability (MPL) Association.
