Mr. Tierney regularly appears before the Division of Workers’ Compensation and the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and also has argued before the Eastern District Court of Appeals. Mr. Tierney has extensive experience in the automotive, auto plants, casinos, construction, education/schools, finance, insurance and real estate, manufacturing, medical/health care, retail trade, services, transportation and public utilities, and wholesale trade industries. He has handled Workers’ Compensation matters involving amputations, assaults and violent acts, back injuries, body system injuries, bruises and contusions, carpal tunnel syndrome, chemical burns, contact with objects and equipment, cumulative trauma, cuts and lacerations, falls, fatalities, fractures, harmful substances or environments, head injuries, heart attacks, heat burns, HIV/needle sticks, infectious diseases, lower and upper extremity injuries, multiple traumatic injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, neck injuries, paraplegia/quadriplegia, permanent disability, pulmonary disorders, respiratory conditions, skin diseases and disorders, sprains, strains, breaks, tears, tendonitis and transportation incidents.
Mr. Tierney is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and the Volunteer Lawyers Program.
Interests:
Outside of Evans & Dixon, Mr. Tierney is a coach for Catholic Youth Council. He is on the alumni board of Saint Louis University High School, on the finance counsel of Queen of All Saints and serves as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Tierney has also served as an alderman for the city of Green Park in the past.
In his free time, Mr. Tierney plays basketball, soccer, and runs. He also enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time with his family, which includes nine brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law.
