The Chairman of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission has announced that in-person trials will commence as of February 1, 2021. Arbitrators will be allowed to schedule one trial in the morning and one in the afternoon.
- Docket dates will be divided into pre-trial dates and trial dates.
- Pro-se settlements will continue to be considered through Web-ex meetings.
- All cases will be continued unless tried or dismissed, either voluntarily or after failure to appear for trial.
- There will be no trials prior to February 1. Virtual trials are not available.
- These procedures will apply to all venues in Illinois.
