AT-RISK INDIVIDUALS:

1.       65 and older

2.       Nursing home patients

3.       Underlying medical conditions such as:

a.       Asthma

b.       Serious heart conditions

c.       Immunocompromised people

d.       Obesity 40 BMI or higher

e.       Diabetics

f.        Chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis

g.       People with liver disease

 

EARLY SYMPTOMS - Mayo ClinicMay occur 2-14 days after exposure 

1.       Fever 100.4 or higher

2.       Cough

3.       Fatigue

4.       Muscle aches

5.       Headache

6.       Sore throat

7.       New loss of taste or smell

8.       Chills

9.       Shortness of breath or breathing difficulties

 

WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION:

1.       Trouble breathing

2.       Constant pain or pressure in chest

3.       Confusion

4.       Blue tinted lips or face

 

RISK FACTORS-EXPOSURE:

Recent travel from or residence in an area with ongoing community spread as determined by CDC or WHO.

Close contact-within 6 feet-with someone who has Covid-19 of being coughed or sneezed on by an infected person.

 

POTENTIAL COMPLICATIONS:

1.       Pneumonia or trouble breathing

2.       Organ failure in several organs

3.       Heart problems

4.       Blood clots

5.       Acute kidney pain

6.       Additional viral/bacterial infections. 

7.       Stroke
