Mr. Michener has more than 35 years of civil trial experience. He has handled hundreds of lawsuits successfully, involving a variety of claims. They include cases involving premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, products liability, construction defects, wrongful death actions, third party criminal attacks, negligent entrustment, contract and business disputes, construction accidents, infliction of emotional distress, electrocution, tortious interference, defamation, negligent supervision, wrongful discharge, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution. He has also handled a number of insurance coverage cases, both in liability and first party coverages.

Mr. Michener is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, Tort Committee, the Defense Research Institute, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. From 1984 to 1992, he was a member of the Missouri Bar Administration’s 22nd Judicial Circuit Bar Committee. He has lectured on trial practice and liability issues for various organizations, including the Missouri Bar.


Interests:

Mr. Michener enjoys reading, gardening, playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

Missouri and Kansas 'Super Lawyers' 2008-2010 - Personal Injury Defense

Lon. O. Hocker Memorial Trial Lawyer Award, Missouri Bar Foundation, 1980 (given annually to three lawyers in the state-one from St. Louis-who have demonstrated excellence in trial work).
