Legal Background
Mr. Long is a business attorney and litigator in Evan & Dixon’s Business Services Department. He represents and advises public and private companies on litigation matters, including pre-litigation risk management and mitigation. Mr. Long also represents clients in business and individual lawsuits, including commercial contracts, private contracts, real estate disputes, commercial and residential leases, insurance coverage, utility regulation, appellate work, secured transactions, loan workouts, bankruptcy and commercial collection matters.

Mr. Long began his career as a transactional/corporate attorney, from which he gained valuable experience in business formation, mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary and corporate governance issues. He applies this experience in litigation in order to gain a better understanding of the dispute from the business operation perspective.

Mr. Long focuses his experience and expertise on providing quality, affordable representation to clients. He involves the client at every stage of representation to insure the client is apprised of the case and, more importantly, to insure the client is receiving value for time expended on a matter. Overall, Mr. Long believes quality representation in litigation means spotting potential issues for a client before they arise, eliminating or mitigating the effect of those issues and working with the client to avoid similar issues in the future, all while achieving the desired result in a dispute.
